CASA MAZARIEGOS CONVENTION CENTER

This spectacular meeting space was originally built in 1528 by Captain Diego de Mazariegos, the founder of San Cristóbal de las Casas. Over the years Casa Mazariegos has been the residence of bishops, an episcopal palce, and an inn.

Since its 2002 restoration, Casa Mazariegos has been a special events space for social events, academic meetings and important cultural happenings. The Casa's archicture is a spectacular example of the Virrenal style prevailing in Chiapas, Guatamala and other parts of Central America.
