Cuatro Cienegas is one of my favorite places on earth! It has an amazing energy, they say its due to all the volcanic rocks. I grew up in a desert called Torreon very near there and everytime I go the day goes by like in five minutes, and the water is so warm that I spend all day snorkeling.
All of my European friends who have been there are surprised by the vibe and energy of the place.
The last time I went there we were 6 couples and a really big tent.
We had tons of alcohol and paid a keeper to go where its really lonely.
We arrived on friday night and had a nice party,
woke up to a great sunny Saturday and I spent all the day inside the warm clean transparent water totally disconnected to the world, but suddenly after sunset there was an amazing wind that almost blew the tent away and everybody wanted to leave.
Except for me of course, so me and a friend stayed and ended up sleeping in the car, and could hear the wind so strong that felt it was gonna fly the car away. Next morning we traded leftovers of vodka for some really amazing gorditas in the town.
