Women's groups/activities

Hi, I am moving to Puerto Vallarta in a few months and have been searching for some Women's activities to be a part of. Does anyone know about a book club, or have any suggestions of other events someone new to town could try? Also, where is the best tennis lessons, is there a women's tennis group, and where are people getting the best yoga classes....also for artists, is there a pottery studio in town that does classes....
THanks, all suggestions are helpful, I am excited to get involved in the community and look forward to meeting others I could have things in common with.
Also charities people have enjoyed, I am looking to volunteer and have done AIDS work before.

Congratulations on your move! You will never be sorry.

There are lots of things for you to do and groups to join. I return Nov. 10 and would love to introduce you around. Yes, I do belong to a book club, support Becas, attend a small English speaking liturgical church near the airport, Iglesia Cristo del Mar, a very friendly and social group, many denominations worship together. One place you might enjoy if you are a beach person is the beach at the El Dorado Restaurant near Los Muertos pier. A LOT of US and Canadian folks hang out there, playing cards, reading and exchanging books, just very friendly and a great place to start. The animal shelter needs helpers, SPCA is active, the Los Mangos Library events and events at the cultural center on Rio Cuale has many art groups and lessons.

i agree with the above comment, the internet is with a doubt growing into the most important medium of communication across the globe
and its due to sites like this that ideas are spreading so quickly.
